"Dangerous" made a bid for the WBO Heavyweight Championship of the World against Herbie Hide in England. Cummings career highlights include a 53-7-1 record and a Top Ten Ranking by all recognized organizations. Reed's ongoing list of accomplishments include a 41-10 record and holding the Midwest and WBF America's Cruiserweight Titles.

Commitment:

Danger-Fire Promotions has been created from the passion and devotion of its founders to provide the sport of professional prize fighting to the great Midwest fight fans as well as provide lifetime experiences for athletes and provide careers for some, that others can only dream about.

"Fire" Starters:

Cummings' career in boxing began at the age of 5 when he had his first of 132 amateur fights followed by 61 professional bouts of which his first two were in New York's famous Madison Square Garden. He made the natural transition from competing in the ring to managing a stable of fighters and hosting events for local fighters through-out the Midwest. While still an active boxer, Cummings was under contract with the Ameristar Casino Kansas City making him their house fighter and the headliner of nearly 20 events. Since retirement, Cummings has maintained a business relationship with the Ameristar Casino promoting up to 5 shows per year in the "Crown Jewel" of boxing venues through-out the entire Midwest, the Ameristar Grand Pavilion. While beginning a career outside of the ropes, Cummings was vastly ahead of the game with connections already forged through-out the world. These connections paved the way for many of his fighters to become champions and secure some very significant opportunities. Such as:
Grandview, Mo featherweight Alvin "The Quickster" Brown currently 23-7 secured 20 victories and just 1 defeat under the guidance of Cummings while capturing the Midwest, IBA America's, NABC World, NABA, and a shot at the NABO featherweight crown at home.
St. Joseph, MO Lt. Heavyweight Galen "Bad Boy" Brown has amassed a professional record of 25 wins 4 losses and 1 draw. From roots forged from tough-man competition rather than amateur boxing as is customary for most elite fighters, Brown has become the Midwest as well as the NABC Light Heavyweight Champion, twice challenged for the NABO Lt. Heavyweight Title, and had a shot at the IBF World Youth Title in Germany.
St. Joseph, Mo now Jr. middleweight Donny "The Savage" McCrary 22-5-1 has also captured the Midwest and NABC super-middleweight titles as well as traveled to Romania to challenge Lucian Bute for the NABA super-middleweight crown. Since the Danger-Fire merger, Donny has appeared on ESPN flooring the undefeated Allen Green in a near miracle upset, Showtime International against Russia's Yuri Foreman, and two HBO cards the most recent of which in his first bout at Jr. middleweight, he posted a win over Mexico's Jesus Valverde in Puerto Rico.

World-Wide Connections:

Since 1996, Cummings has made over 20 trips outside of the United States including competing himself in Scotland, Denmark, and Germany. Since that time, many of his local fighters have had the opportunity to share in the experience of traveling abroad and testing their skills against some of the very best fighters in the world.
Cameron, MO lightweight "Whisperin" Jimmy Zeikle 38-11 has had the opportunity to compete overseas on three occasions with bouts in Germany, Denmark, and England.
Cameron, MO light heavyweight "Nasty" Nate Zeikle 11-6 has traveled to both Denmark and Germany for professional competition as well as faced undefeated prospect BJ Flores on the under-card of an HBO televised event in Chicago, IL.
Terry Tock 16-6 of Holden, MO has been afforded opportunities in Canada, Germany, and Denmark as part of a lucrative career in professional boxing that did not begin until the age of 30.

"Danger" Zone:

"Dangerous" Damon Reed, since returning to Topeka from Chicago where he went to further develop his skills, and still being an active fighter, has had the foresight and self-confidence to create a significant stable of fighters in a city where he was the only star for many years. By sharing the limelight he has been able to create some real prospects and stars of future Danger-Fire events. Upon returning from Chicago, Reed like Cummings has experienced tremendous world-wide success outside of the ropes with his stable of fighters that he contracted abroad along with promoting locally. Having competed himself in Denmark twice, England, Italy, South Africa, Finland, and Germany, Reed secured major fight opportunities for his fighters as well.
Topeka heavyweight Andy "The Sandman" Sample has competed in Germany, Italy and Denmark twice. Raul "El Toro" Munoz has decision losses to former world champions Hector "Macho" Camacho and Yori Boy Campos, as well as appearing on an HBO under-card in Las Vegas and a solid showing on The Best Damn Sports Show against Sam Soliman of Australia.
"Mighty" Marc Thompson was 13-0 before suffering his first loss in Atlantic City to Mike Aranoutis for the WBO/NABO lightweight title. With Reed, Thompson also captured the Midwest and NABC lightweight titles.
Jr. Middleweight Michi "The Matador" Munoz 17-1 rates as one of the hottest prospects to ever come from the Midwest. His lone loss being a 12 round decision to Joey Gilbert of NBC's The Contender for the WBO/NABO middleweight title.

Danger-Fire Merger:

Within the first year of this newly compounded stable, "Danger-Fire" established themselves as the fastest growing boxing promotional and management company in the nation. They maintained an average of one event per month with venues through-out the Midwest including Kansas City, MO, St. Joseph, MO, Hannibal, MO, and Topeka, KS. Through hard work and blind determination, both partners have survived the early struggles and hard-ships faced by anyone venturing in tho the real world of professional prize fighting. With the joining of two successful independent ventures this company is now built on a solid foundation with corporate sponsorships and contracted venues. It is this event security that will provide the outlet for this company to take the kid who was to small to play football, from the cradle to the crown in professional boxing.
